One of the most famous Italian newspaper "Il Corriere della Sera" launched among his readers a competiton to choose the best images of this century.

The readers chose two images: the loading on the moon and the picture of a Jewish child in the ghetto in Varsaw, 1943.

On 24th december one of the journalist suggested to show his seard picture in each school: in the main entrance or in the Assembly Hall to tell students the terrible tragedy happended in Europe.

This picture could be a better lesson than any athor  explanation made by the teacher of  history.

Prof. C. Mangiagalli, one of our teacher wrote to the newspaper and now we can see it in our Assembly Hall.

We hope that the new millenium will carry only good actions and it will cancel the monster of the old millenium, surly the memory will be a gift in order to remind us the events and avoid to repeat the same errors.

We were very impressed when we discussed the matter with our teacher in our classroom and we appreciated a lot this idea.

What do you think about the picture?

What do you think about the initiative proposed by  the "Corriere della Sera" ?

Have you ever discussed the problem about Nazism in your  school, in your family or with your friends?
