DJs can become as popular as the big stars of pop music... that is what happened to the fathers of progressive or known as Dream music too; to be more precise this refers to DJ-and producer Gigi D'Agostino, leader of the Italian phenomenon Mediterranean Progressive.

Gigi D'Agostino had a troubled past. He was born in Salerno on 17 dicembre 1967. Lots of jobs, lots of suffering to reach today's fame and fortune. He says he would do it all over again if he was really forced. Anyway his life has really changed, all his desires are reality now. Gigi loves progressive music, even if he twisted it rather than customized it. Mediterranean progressive was born in this way: minimal sounds, catchy melodies, lots of latin and...mediterranean sounds.

This new tendence is now spreading all over Italy, shaking the Italian clubs' life, topping the sales charts; however, the nerve center remains the area of Piemonte and Toscana, where this trend was given its birth by D'agostino and few others DJs.

Gigi D'Agostino, talented and young was one among the firsts who experimented this sound, which is caracterized by sound track melodies matched with a particularly vigorous groove and medium bpm values (120-135). Charismatic as he's, he has been able to make his audience join in a crowd of "additicts to progressive" before joining Media Records he had released some tracks just for his audience, that reached good results in selling. "Sweetly" - also contained in his album - became a hit also in other European countries. There was a great success for his first single "Fly" released early this year; soon it was followed by "Le Voyage'96" arranged by Gigi D'Agostino, the first compilation entirely soaked with this new sound, won the gold selling more than 80.000 copies.

No time was to be lost and the restless Gigi stroke with another hit "Gigi's violin" that equaled his previous success. Besides, he linked his forces with another big: Mauro Picotto in "Angel's Simphony".

His journey has just begun and he is now out with what numberless DJ's had considered a dream: the release of an entire progressive Album.

Gigi D'Agostino gives his name to this Album, which containes 19th tracks and that has just earnt the GOLD!!!!

Now Gigi D’Agostino is considered the best Dj in Europe and this year he made all to dream with his singles like "Another Way", "L’Amour Toujours" and "La Passion".
