How can it be that abortion the massacre of mankind is seen as justified and cloning, the creation of life is not?

I must rectify the popular misconception about cloning. It is impossible to copy or replicate a human. Just because two people share the same genetics it does not mean that they are identical. How do I know this?

Identical twins are naturally occurring clones. Decades of research has been spent investigating them and the one definite conclusion, is that identical twins are not identical. They have different personalities, different levels of intellect and even different fingerprints.

So if the word ‘copy’ is the scientific fallacy of the anti-cloning argument, then the real fallacy is the anti-cloning argument itself.

Fifteen percent of the world’s population is infertile. Cloning will allow these people to experience the pleasures of parenthood. Cloning will end the serious shortage of organ and tissue donors. It will end the danger of organ rejection, as cells will be taken from the patient to create a compatible replica to be transplanted. It will end the procession of hereditary diseases and defects.

Cloning can be used to create animals that excrete therapeutic human proteins. Imagine a cow that has milk, containing insulin. The painful injection for diabetics would be replaced by a glass of milk. These walking drug factories would provide an endless supply of cheap and plentiful human medicines. Cloning may even hold the miracle key that will unlock the mystery cure for cancer and other fatal diseases. Cloning makes our fantasies, reality.

Keeping the ban on cloning will be tying the hands of responsible researchers, which will leave multinational corporations to secretly pursue cloning research for their own gains. Keeping the ban on cloning will cease the curing of the ill and destroy the hopes of the childless. Keeping the ban on cloning will be denying us from our destiny.

The scientific technique of cloning is a huge step forward, it is our future and together we will use cloning to conquer the many problems that before were thought unsolvable. Lift the ban on cloning and we will be lifting ourselves higher and further than ever before.
