People have recently spoken, about question of referee in the Italian football championship because they aren’t considered competent to direct the most important Italian sport competition.

The pressure on the referee is much heavy and so this class became, in the season 1999/2000 a professional class but the situation hasn’t change. The first examples are in the season 1997/1998: the championship 1997/1998 saw the first appearance in "Serie A" of the most important player of the world: Ronaldo. After a few days we understand immediately that the fight for the title is a matter between two teams: INTER and JUVENTUS.

After the direct match in Milano (Inter-Juventus 1-0) Inter appeared to take the fly towars his 14° title but the things from that moment changed radically. After this match, in fact, the referee began not to see a valid goal against the Juventus (e.g. Juventus-Udinese and Empoli-Juventus) allowing so Juventus to approach to Inter that, always in that period, saw the referee to take decision doubt fully unfavourable for Inter (Inter-Milan and Inter-Vicenza).

After this fact many people that love football began to doubt about the regularity of the "Serie A" championship.

On the other hand the Presidents of Inter and Juventus agreed to calm down the people. But in April, a few matches at the end of the championship, an hell broke out: the match was Juventus-Inter: a clear-cut penalty allowed to Del Piero.

The match end 1-0 for Juventus and began the hell: a millet statement from the president of Inter Massimo Moratti against the Juventus and referee that found comparison in Massimo D’Alema , an important politic man.
