Eating disorders

Anorexia is a highly dangerous mental disorder.
Anorectics have a bad relation to their own body and a certain likeness with schizos.

Anorexia’s first appearance is generally in the age of puberty. It’s characterised with extreme loss of weight and the sick person can’t bring himself/ herself to eat enough. This disease can have a fatal outcome.

How can anyone resist something like this?
Mother and daughter relation
The relationship between mother and daughter can be a releasing factor. The daughter can for instance make great demands on herself so that her mother will be proud of her. Finally it bursts and the daughter gets sick. The relation between the mother and the daughter has often been bad from the very beginning, but now the mother is forced to show interest for her daughter.

Brain damage
A hard diet can affect the brain. Reducing leads to changing in the brains functions and an evil circle begins that makes the girl, with an almost fanatic will-power to continue her highly dangerous diet.
Strong weightloss can bring changes in the brain process and there form mental disorders, for instance total loss of sexual interest and no ability to feel hunger.
A anorectic does also change emotionally. They show a tendency of hate against everything and everyone and a strong self-contempt.
A girl with anorexia loses all shapes and functions that a woman has, for instance her menstruation.

Welfare problem
Anorexia is a welfare problem. The disease only exists in the rich countries and specially in the upper class background. The disease has not been found in the poor countries. Because of this it can not be an organic brain disease.

Bulimia
Bulimia is the other of the two eating disorders. A person with bulimia have eating attacks when they cram huge quantities of food that they then throw up. That last in the darkest secret and no one else knows about it.
In both cases it can be the fear of fatness that presses on. As the person with anorexia super controls her eating, the person with bulimia is trying to do the same thing. But sometimes the self-control bursts, and it is then the compulsive eating, with the following vomiting or the improper use of laxatives begins to avoid the increase in weight. That is accompanied by low self-esteem.
Even though the person with bulimia have a normal weight, is the condition bad in a medical point of view. For example the loss acidity of the stomach when the person throw up all the time. Even the mouth takes damage because the acidity of the stomach corrodes the gums. If you are in bad luck the teeth can fall out.

Bulimarexia
Bulimarexia is when bulimia and anorexia occur at the same person. It can be when it has started with anorexia and the hunger at last overpowers the person, who then quickly throws up after an eating attack. It can also be a person with bulimia who on account of enhancing self-esteem after a while the person refuses to keep anything of the food inside. The person begins to lose weight and after a while he/she develops anorexia. These cases are specially serious, both from a medical and psychological point of view. It can result in suicide. Researches show that the risk for suicide attempts is growing tragically among this group of patients.
