If a person is good at sports you can read a lot about him or her during a period. Many things happen in their lives, and because of that we can only tell you facts about Magdalena till the 19th of January 2001.

Facts about Magdalena
Magdalena was born in Örnsköldsvik 25 July 1967. She’s 34 years old and she lives in Bergeforsen outside Sundsvall with her husband Henrik Forsberg. Both Magda (nickname for Magdalena) and Henrik compete in biathlon and she’s a member of the club, Sundsvall Biathlon.

Problem with her eating
When Magda was 17-18 years old she had problems with her eating. The reason was that she wanted to be a better skier and she wanted to get a chance to join the international A-team. But now she loves food and she exhorts sportswomen to eat right food and very much food.

Madga’s spare time
Something she likes in her spare time is to shoot elks. When she was a little girl she also used to shoot elks. This is very important for her right now, and when she stops with competitive sports in 2002 she’ll get more time to go elk hunting.

Her list of qualifications is different than other women’s
She has won World Championship gold in pursuit and distance in year 1997 and she became World Champion in pursuit in 1997 and in 1998. She won the World Cups Championship in 1997 and totally three gold, two silvers and three bronzes in the World Championship. She has been a World Champion winner 25 times. But she has won 58 medals in the whole World Cup.

Her character
She’s one of the biggest stars in Swedish sports and one of our hopes for gold joining the Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan.

She has been the winner of the Swedish "Jerring"-price in 1997, 1998 and 2000. It’s the Swedish people who decide which sports person they think deserve the price.

Magda’s next competition is the 1-11th of February the World Championships in Pokljuka, Slovenia.

Now she’s in very good form and she also wins a lot. And she leads the World cup and we hope she wins.
