MONZA
AUTODROME

In
1922, in Monza the autodrome was built by Automobile Club Milano. Then in 1948
it was rebuilt.
The
circuit is formed by motoracing track and by high speed ring, and it's placed in
Monza's Park, the biggest closed Park in Europe. The ring is 4250 meters long,
and it's used by F1 cars in Grand Prix of Italy.
The
cars in long rectilinears can reach 300 Km/h.
Besides
the autodrome is opened for normal people that want to try high speed with their
own cars.
In
Europe the autodrome is very famous because every car race is attended by a lot
of tourists, famous and important people of show business and sport.
The
location of the autodrome in the park causes a big problem with ecologists
because of the noise and air pollution made by pilot and spectator cars.
The
price of tickets goes from 80.000 lire to 700.000 lire, so many young people
crazy for speed try to climb over the walls the night before.
Every
year, in Monza's historical centre, there are stands where many people can look
and touch a beautiful F1 cars, and
spend a nice evening.
The
hardest work is for traffic policemen that face the huge amount of traffic that
in these days crowds the roads.

There
are millions of fans of this sport that however is dangerous, infact there are
often bad incidents that affect pilots and peole of the race security.
Last
September I went to see the Grand Prix, because I'm a great Ferrari's fan, and I
have to say that it has been very exciting to see the race at the autodrome, to
hear the big roar of motors, and the shouts of crowd towards the champions. I
invite everybody to join this sport show, because the
mood that feels among the crowd it's really special.
