THE BIG BROTHER

In the spring of  2000 the famous television programme THE BIG BROTHER, happeared in all European countries; in this programme about 5 boys and 5 girls are “shout up” in a house for about 100 days, it received the prize of culture of years 2000.

It unchained a very storm in all Italy, above all from the famous Italian journalist Alessandro Cecchi Paone that runs  the programme calls “The machine of the time”  that is a  cultural programme.

Cecchi Paone affirmed that the Big Brother isn’t a cultural programme, because it doesn’t teach anything of adequate for  today’s boys and girls  and as a consequence they don’t learn anything. It happened that 5 boys and 5 girls of The Big Brother   received insults and whistles from the public in the study.

The 5 boys and 5 girls received a big humiliation that they won’t forget for all their life; at the awarding of a prize there was also Cecchi Paone,  he left the study and he invoked  insults against  the judges who assigned the prize.

Many Italian people took a position for Cecchi Paone and the judges defended themselves to the criticisms  that it was to difficult for them to decide the list of  Big Brother.

At the end, they thought that the 5 boys and 5 girls’s behaviours could  influence  the today’s  young  in a positive and negative way.
