Young People Focus on Europe

In Europe there aren't only big cities, much of the continent is actually sparsely-populated areas.
It's important for the European Union to support and save the smaller societies and prevent people
from moving out.
Many of the pupils at Parkskolan live a couple of miles outside the town Örnsköldsvik. They have to
spend quite much time on the bus to get to school, entertainments and other activities. But what
makes them stay on the countryside and what can you actually do there?

From January the 1st, with the introduction of the Euro we entered in the Monetary Union;
it has nourished in us a strong sense of united Europe. But it isn’t only the question of
currency: that shares us further to other European Country is the music. It represents a
characteristic that sensitively joins us for genres, styles, new revelations and glorious
returns. All that passes through Europe reaches immediately Italy as other Countries.
Naturally whole Europe has a big dependence by American marketplace. I want to start
from recent events. A month ago it came out the latest album by Celine Dion: “A new
day has come”... |

Today it’s very common for young people to travel in Europe. Perhaps it’s not so common to visit
Belarus, but our teacher wanted us to go there. The past six months we have prepared for our trip
to Belarus. We have been studying history, politics and social relations. The 15th of May it was
finally time to make the one-week journey and our expectations were high. We thought we knew what
to expect, but our picture of how Belarus would be like didn’t agree with real life. We didn’t think
that they would be so hospitable as they were and we thought that they had worse economy than they
actually had. We lived in families in a village called Cokol, which is a suburb to Minsk.

The traditions concerning weddings in Europe is pretty much the same. There's only a few things
that tell them apart for instance the price and the size of the wedding festivities. But at the
same time not everyone share the same belief and they choose not to get married in the church.
Others aren't allowed.
Before writing this article we saw two documentaries about weddings. One was from England and
the other from Italy. Our conclusion afterwards was that the wedding ceremony is a custom that
unites the European countries. The traditions during the wedding and the preparation are pretty
much the same in the different countries. The hen and the stag party, the father that walks his
daughter down the isle, the dress that looks like a meringue, the fact that you trough rice at
the newly married couple.Even if the number of Christian seems to be decreasing from year to year
and many takes total distance from the church the majority of the marriages that are held, takes
place in the traditional church. |
