Ferrari in F1        

 

Every people all over the world that listens to the word “Ferrari”, knows that it means car and speed.

But  Ferrari hasn’t only a story based on the city car; it has a most important story in the F1 championship.

1961-156F1_1.jpg (47043 byte) Its story began in 1898 in Modena, where Enzo Ferrari, the company’s founder, was born.   First, he was a driver and a technician, but in 1929 he found in Modena the “Scuderia Ferrari”.

After the II world war, the firm moved to Maranello, now days seat of that.

In 1947 the team Ferrari won its first competition in  Roma G.P., and after that it passed in F1.   The first victory in this category came in 1951 with the driver Jose Gonzales; the first world championship was won in 1952 with Alberto Ascari as  driver.

After that  Ferrari won  a lot of competitions and world prize, but after the 1979, year of the last world success, the team stop winning.

In 1988, Enzo Ferrari died, and his firm remain disconcerted.

Michael SchumacherAfter some years of dispersion, the team revived with Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, the new President of the company.

In the 1998 Ferrari returned competitive, thanks to the driver Michael Schumacher, winning in the 1998 and 1999 the constructors prize and, in the 2000, the World  Championship.

Schumacher won also in the 2001 World Championship, with a overwhelming victory.

This year Ferrari is very competitive infact, up to 5 race, Michael Schumacherhas won  4 of them, and he has obtained also a 3th place.

With these results, also this year all the Italian hope in a success of the “rossa” of Maranello, that in this first competitions has been upper then the other cars and drivers.
