Every
people all over the world that listens to the word “Ferrari”, knows that it
means car and speed.
But
Ferrari hasn’t only a story based on the city car; it has a most
important story in the F1 championship.
Its
story began in 1898 in Modena, where Enzo Ferrari, the company’s founder, was
born. First, he was a driver
and a technician, but in 1929 he found in Modena the “Scuderia Ferrari”.
After
the II world war, the firm moved to Maranello, now days seat of that.
In
1947 the team Ferrari won its first competition in
Roma G.P., and after that it passed in F1.
The first victory in this category came in 1951 with the driver Jose
Gonzales; the first world championship was won in 1952 with Alberto Ascari as
driver.
After
that Ferrari won
a lot of competitions and world prize, but after the 1979, year of the
last world success, the team stop winning.
In
1988, Enzo Ferrari died, and his firm remain disconcerted.
After some years of dispersion,
the team revived with Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, the new President of the
company.
In
the 1998 Ferrari returned competitive, thanks to the driver Michael Schumacher,
winning in the 1998 and 1999 the constructors prize and, in the 2000, the World
Championship.
Schumacher
won also in the 2001 World Championship, with a overwhelming victory.
This
year Ferrari is very competitive infact, up to 5 race, Michael Schumacherhas won
4 of them, and he has obtained also
a 3th place.
With
these results, also this year all the Italian hope in a success of the
“rossa” of Maranello, that in this first competitions has been upper then
the other cars and drivers.
I
ask you to see the Monza G.P. in September, so you can see how
Ferrari is fast and also the car racing-truck, that you
visited at the Freeway conference.
