When you are looking for a job abroad there’s many things you must think about. First of all it is tremendously important that your applications are looking good. Letters that are nicely put together, qualifications/CV are also necessary if you want your applica-tions to be read. Also remember never send your certificates in original. Take copies.

Good for you to find out before you go is what culture it is in the country and how the climate is, how you will live when you come there so that the difference wont be to big. Some coun-tries require vaccinations before you can get a job in there.

Who gets to work were and for how long?
Before you go you must find out what rules there are to follow. If your country is a member of EU you can without work permit work in the EU-countries for the three first months. If you are going to stay longer you need a residence permit.
If you are looking for a job outside EU you must apply for residence permit, work permit and you also need to have a visa.
Before you accept a job you must be sure if you really are good at the assignments that are required and if you really want to work with it. A good idea is to work a shorter period the first time, maybe a week or two.
No matter what country you are going to work in it is important to get a written contract for your employment where all conditions and social benefits are specified. This can be important it you get hurt some way, if you get fired and when there is time for payment.

Make sure you have good insurance before you go. Complete your needs with a private insur-ance if necessary.

How to get a job?
When you are looking for a job abroad you can start to visit the local jobcentre. You can always look in newspapers and there is also a lot of jobs to find in the internet for ex. World Associations of Public Employment Services from all countries on the address: mem-bers.aon.at/wapes
A big social network with friends, old fellow workers, a satisfied employer is a good plat-form for new and exciting working life. To meet people from the whole world is also very
interesting and instructive.
