The difficulty of growth
To know himself means to learn who really we are and what we want.
Everybody need time to know this because is a long phase that bears many difficulties.
When we are children the growth is more evident because we develop physically, but when we become adults many changes take place, especially about the character. The adolescence is the most important moment in which a person learns to know himself.
A meaningful comparison to take in consideration is the one between the life of the adolescence of our generation and the one of the past generations.
We, youth of the millenium, live our growth in a different environment that has changed with the progress of the society, that was different before, more rigid and the young had less freedom and different relations with their parents. Now, instead, sons disobey easily, in speaking we use a different language and, by consequence, there is more confidence with them. However this situation may lead to many conflicts because the young people hate receiving orders, from the people they love, and they dont want to follow their models of life about which they disagree.
Of course our parents had experienced the same problems, our fears and they have had our ideas, so, even if they often deny that, they had lived the same experiences.
Consequently, in our opinion, all generations are in a certain way, the same of the previous one.
