Peru'

Have a look at Lima’s tourists places!

So…I’ll start saying that I was born in this wonderful country which is situated in South America, but I’m sure that you already know that.

First I wanted to talk about Perů generally but it’s very big and it has a lot of beautiful places and I know that I won’t success in writing everything in one article only, therefore I’ll talk about Lima only – the capital city of Peru - leaving Cuzco and the other places for the next time.

Lima, what can I say about it? It was founded from Francisco Pizarro on 18 January in 1535 and in 1544 became the capital city of the Spanish colonial empire of south America. In spite all of the wars that there were in Perů, there are still a lot of historical places very pleasant that are survived, a lot of churches to visit and many buildings very kept , from the colonial period, whose façades are (about the traditions) always painted pink.

If you want to go to Lima, you have to visit this places!:

PlazaDeArmas.jpg (74360 byte)

La Plaza Mayor de Lima: In this square in 1535, Francisco Pizarro marked on the land, with his sword, the map of his city. This square was the stage of a lot of events, from parties where the people go wild to the inquisition..

MuseoDelOro.jpg (14763 byte)

El Museo de Oro (The Gold Museum): In this museum there are many collected treasures and golden objects of Chimu and Incas period. We can find some beautiful Indios instruments and a harvest of arms: breast-streps and armours of knights of 15th century.

                SanFrancisco.jpg (15191 byte)

La Iglesia de San Francisco (San Francisco’s church): The square of San Francisco’s church is one of the architectural place very famous in Lima. To the left of the church there’s a convent.

        SanAgustin.jpg (13895 byte)

La Iglesia de San Agustín (San Agustín’s church): Is definitely the most important of all the churches of Lima. The columns, the windowsill, the decorated bands and the statues of the saints in stone are so posh prepared that seems carved in the wood.

To make us an idea about the old Peruvian culture we can visit the Museo de Antropologia y Arqueologia (Anthropology and Arqueology museum): This museum give us a panoramic of the old civilizations from the Chavín to Incas. Among the most precious treasures of the harvest there is the Stela Raimondi, a table two metres long which has a lot of figures in the lower part which had many interpretations, one different from the other.

Everybody says that Perů is a poor country, but I don’t agree with it , I think that Perů is richer than everyone can imagine; the pity is that I understood it now, and I can’t remedy.

So I advice you all this places and more others which unfortunately I can’t describe you for matters of space. I was born there and I can guarantee you that they are very beautiful even when I was there I didn’t understood. At each day trip it went to the museum or churches (there are so many only in Lima) or to another places and nobody (me too) success in understanding how beautiful they are. Now I’d like to return back and go to visit all that places, enjoy the beautiful show that Perů offers to the people.

Do you want to know something more about Perů? It’s very easy, you have to ask me and if you want you’ll be your friend!
