THE CULTURAL EXCHANGE

On 14 September 2002 we and some of our friends left for a little English village called Malpas near Liverpool in England where some English family have given hospitality to us.

We were very excited because it was the first experience that we lived like this and we expect this trip with impatience because England has always fascinated us with its peculiar habits that we were very curious to see.

The first day we spent our time with our "new families" but during the week every morning we attended lessons at the English school, it was very interesting nevertheless we didn't understand  a lot of what the teachers was saying.

Beside it was very interesting to observe the numerous differences that distinguish the Italian school fron English one. From my point of view the English one is better organized  than ours.

In the afternoons, instead, we stayed with the family or we visited some towns near Malpas like Liverpool  and Chester.

Every night we met our travelling companions naturally accompanied from our partners and we went out to pass great times in some pubs or at the bowling in Chester.

This experience has been very interesting not only because it let us to improve our English knowledge but also we visited other  cities and knew different culture.

It was not only an instructive trip in fact the funny it didn't want, for this when we had to  return in Monza on 21 September we were very melancholy and it was more difficult to say good bye to  our new English friends because we had become fond of them.
