Instead of those boring and ordinary subjects you used to be able to choose from, nowadays you can choose more fun and interesting subjects as your individual choice. Some of those subjects are flower arrangement, accelerated learning and nature and outdoor life. These subjects are not just theoretical, they are kind of practical too.

Flower arrangement Flower arrangement is a practical subject and you make a lot of beautiful arrangements. You will even learn names of many flowers and how you take care of them, a knowledge which is useful in biology. The flower arrangements will sometimes be put in the canteen, the office, the café and sometimes the students can take them home. What they learn is very useful if they want to decorate their own home. Then they won’t have to spend money on expensive florists. A perfect gift when somebody has a birthday is a home made flower arrangement.

Accelerated learning In accelerated learning you learn how you study the best and how to relax. You can relax by taking a break in your studies and for example juggle or get a massage.
	When you are juggling you are using both sides of your brain. That makes it easier to study because when you are studying you only use one side. You also do small "tests" that will show you what time you study the best and in what place. In the end of the course you have an oral account to improve your self-confidence.

Nature and outdoor life
If you have nature and outdoor life as your individual choice you are not just sitting inside the school having lessons. Most of the time you are out in the nature doing activities such as hiking, climbing in caves and skeet shooting. The activities depend on what time of the year it is. In the winter you can for example go skiing, go on snowmobile tours or you can bivouac in snowcaves in minus twenty degrees. You sometimes have to sacrifice other lessons and some of your spare time. The course also contains some theory. The students learn about legal right of access to private land, mushrooms, first aid and how to act when an accident happens. It is usual that it is a small group around fifteen students, that makes it easier for them to go on excursions.
