The ABBA Story
The story about the famous group started in June 1966 when Björn Ulvaeus met Benny Andersson for the first time. They established a partnership as composers. In the spring of 1969 Björn and Benny met two women, Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad who where to become, not only their fiancees but also the other half of ABBA. Their name was ABBA, an acronym of their first names. ABBA released their first album "Ring Ring" in 1973. The most famous moment in their history was on the Eurovision Song Contest in April 6 1974. They became winners with the song called "Waterloo" and the whole world cheered. After that they made a tour around the world with songs like "Mamma mia", "Waterloo", "Dancing Queen", "The Winner takes it all" and so on. ABBA released about eight original albums and later some "Greatest Hits".

The end of the story
ABBA split in 1982. It was hard for the group to stick together when Agnetha and Björn decided to get divorced in 1979. But they kept on playing a few years more thanks to their manager Stig Andersson. The last record came out in 1981 but they weren’t getting along better then. Agnetha and Anni-Frid were arguing all the time. In 1982 there were nothing else to do but to go separate ways for them when Anni-Frid and Benny also got divorced.

The time after ABBA
After the break up Anni-Frid and Agnetha went on with their solo careers. Björn and Benny kept on working together as composer partners. They have written musicals like "Chess" (1984) and "Kristina från Duvemåla" (1995). Its a fact that no one have dominated the music industry like ABBA did.
