Hiphop more then just music
Hiphop, is it good or bad ?
There are many things that have a positive influence in the hiphop culture.
The children have someone to look up to and they can set a goal to some
day become someone like them, a person with a really good self-esteem.
But in many cases also drugs, alcohol and weapons are involved in the
"game". It’s not so unusual in Sweden but it’s a major problem in the
United States of America. Many many people die cus of being involved
in a gang, where they start to use drugs and they probably do things
that they will regret the next day. For the United States of America
and all other countries where hiphop is a big culture, the hip hop has
become more than just a music, and today there is nothing that can stop
the hiphip from growing any bigger.
Swedish rappers
 |
Petter(picture) is the king of Sweden in hip-hop he is the first
hip-hoper that really went through with his albums. He is rapping
about his life and things he went through. He wants people to understand
what he is rapping about and he does it in a way that no other rappers
are enable to do. |
| In my opinion there are no other Swedes that can rap
the way Petter does. Rappers had a hard time breaking through in
the early nineties because the Swedish people thought of the American
hip hoppers and connected it to the violence with guns and narcotics.
But it was not until the Swedish group "Just D" was created with
their "accepted" music as the hip hop become big. |
Hiphop a culture and a lifestyle
You can recognize a hip hopper
from a very long distance because of the baggy clothes they are wearing.
Thousands of hip-hop clothes are sold every day and that tells you how
big the music style is. The culture is also very big. In the end of
the eighties noone really knew what hiphop was, so you can say that
Petter and Just D from made the revolution true in Sweden when they
camed out with there first albums. We are starting to look more and
more like the United States of America for every day that goes by. I
can’t really find an answer of why it really is that way, but Petter
and Just D was absolutely the ones that started to revolute the culture.
The message
Almost every hip hoper has a message in the song. It can be about an
important event that they want to share, or it can be a message to young
kids to stay away from all bad things like guns, drugs etc. And it’s
like everybody is listening with wide ears when they hear the music’s
message. People try to live up to the message, they want to cross all
goals in their life and become a better person. And every hiphoper heve
a message in there songs, they rapping about there life and the problem
that they experiensed in there lifes. They want the people to understand
what they are talking about when they are up there in the stage and
rapping about the problems out there.
