The latest phenomenon of international modern music is Eminem. He represents the new aspect of rap and his songs are very much talked about because they deal with subjects such as violence and aggressiveness mostly towards his mother. His relationship with his mother has sealed him in such a way that it emerges in his songs and videos.

Eminem has had a very difficult life. He was born in 1974 in a little town need Kansas City, but at the age of 12 he moved to Detroit which became his homeland.

His uncle Ronnie introduced him to rap but he committed suicide when Eminem was 18 years old. As a result Eminem remained alone with his mother who is described as being not an understanding woman. Infact this situation is the cause of his problems with the law.

1997 is the year of his success and the beginning of a promising carrer. Later he gets married, his daughter was born and then divorced.

Yet again Eminem has trouble with the law because of his mother who sues him for the terrible things he says about her in his songs.

From the musical point of view he could be defined as an original non-conformist singer because of being the first "white" rapper and at the same time loved by the Afro-Americans. According to us he has gained success not only due to his ability but also to his private life story wich has struck his fans.
