The Atypic Pneumonia
The atypic pneumonia continues to be wraped up in a veil of mistery: there isn’t certainty about sort of agent (virus or bacterium) and neither about the way it is spreading around.
Despite enormous efforts in the research, the agent of the SARS is still far from being identified.
The numbers of cases of atypic pneumonia continue to increase, new countries are included in the list made by the world organisation of Sanity(Oms) and unfortunately increases the number of the dead too.
After 1st February 2003 a case is generally defined suspected when, a person has got symptoms as:
-high hever, above 38°
-one or more respiration’s symptoms included cough, short breath and breathlessness, difficulty to breath
Otherwise if there are one or more of followings conditions:
-near contact before ten days from beginning of symptoms understanded as coabitation,assistance, or fisic contact, with a preason that is diagnosed SARS
-Recent history of travel, before ten days from beginning of symptoms, in zones where are notifed SARS trasmission focuses that now are: Toronto (Canada), Guangdong, Hong Kong, Shanxi, Taiwan (China), Singapore and Hanoi (Vietnam).
The Center of desaes and prevention USA(Cdc) has diffused a series of precautions that allow to avoid a direct infection.
The epidemy of atypic pneumonia is started in South of China in the end of the last year:
The infected people are hundred, the victims 34, 3 in the capital city Pechino.
From here to Hong Kong where there was 15 victims and about 600 people have contract the virus.
The sickness has been then diffused in the world from virus’ bearer that they have moved in airplane.
Also the doctor Carlo Urbani has been a victim of SARS, an Italian specialist that has taken care of the first victims of the misterious sickness in Vietnam.
