THE NEW FORMULA 1

After the usual seasonal stop, for all car fans as me, the World Championship of Formula1. has finally started again.

All the teams are involved in test on test to improve the performances of their cars also for only few hundreadth of a second.

Also our Ferrari, piloted by Rubens Barrichello and by the five times World Champion Michael Schumacher are involved in test in Fiorano and Maranello of the new F2003-GA fed by an elastic engine of 2.997cc with 10 cylindres at V of 90 degrees that supply a maximum power of 850 CV at 18.000 laps/min.

So, a lot of people think that also this year the red cars will aim to the World title again, also if the two firsts Gran Prix weren’t so favourable for us.

Shumacher, infact said that this year he noted a big competition, but he thinks that the most dangerous cars are the McLaren-Mercedes of David Coulthard and of the young Finnish pilot Kimi Raikkonen.

This year is very important for the new rules set up by the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) that will change all the F1, place list included.

The main changes are:

The elimination of radio communications from box to pilots;

The use of a maximum of two cars for team;

Put the cars in a closet park in the time between the qualifying event and the race;

In the qualifiyng event there is only a lap for pilot and not twelve;

The elimination of the traction control;

The elimination of automatised departure systems.

Another change is the lowering of the number of the races from 17 to 16, because the Gran Prix of Belgium in Spa-Francorchamps won’t be disputed because in that country there is a law that prohibits cigarettes advertising and the F1 cars are full of them!

Now, the only thing to do is to wait the next 14 September, when will be disputed the Grand Prix of Italy, here in Monza.
