Psychiatrical care not hard enough

A mentally sick man attacked a 5 year old girl outside a kindergarden. The girl died from from the injuries, and according to the man's doctor, he did not have to be in a locked ward. There is no explanation why he did it. And according to Swedish law, people who are of age is responsible for their actions. But if they are sick psychically, they don't really know what's right. And maybe the doctor's must take some more responsibility then.

The government is discussing the problems with the psychiatrical care in Sweden. The psychiatrical care seems to be to kind, and not hard enough on those who have made violent crimes. The ordinary people, think it is to nice, and a relief for them who are caused for a crime. Jail is worse and they think the criminals deserve it, and I think you agree. But aren't they also humans, and deserve a second chance in life. There are criminals who are not over 20, they should have a second chance too. Most of all because of their age. Everything depends on how you look at this problem. Who is responsible, and can you really say that anyone is? Maybe the one who committed the crime.

Make the best decision
If we should follow the rules, it says that if you are of age, you are responsible for you actions, but if you are mentally ill, you are not allowed in jail, because you will need some extra help. And there have been some suggestions in the government, that if you commit a crime, and you did not really know what you did, then you are free to go. But if you look what kind of consequence it might get, the rules my cause someone else's death. And if the rules don't give much safety, why should we follow them. Maybe we can't follow the rules all the time. Maybe we have to look at a different angle of the situation. And of course, every situation is unique. If we look for the best interest for the people. A criminal should be but to justice for what he or she has done, despite if they are mentally sick. And maybe you can safe a life, cause who knows what the criminal will do next. Maybe we can make our own rules about different situations. You come up with types of rules or answers for different problems, and you can make the best of the situation, and a type of rule that everyone can follow.

The right opinion
But how can you really know that your opinion is the right one, and the best for everyone. You don't really know, and maybe you have to look from different angles and twist the problem around, to come up with the right one. Maybe nothing is the right thing to do. What is the right thing, for you and for everyone? Who is the right one to judge, and to say that my way of thinking is the right way to think. We live like that today, by rules that we don't really agree with. And some of them are good rules, but others we don't really see why. And different people think different about different rules, but if you think that a rule is wrong, when someone else think it's good, is the rule good then or is it wrong? Is it wrong just because you think so, because you should decide what is right. Maybe you are wrong, and you decide over another life. How can you forgive yourself if you make the wrong choice, and can you really make a decision like that. Maybe we only have rules because we need some lines to follow, so our decisions are the right thing to think, just because it is the rules. Have we come so far so that you have to follow the rules, and the rules is not for the best? The rules are really stupid in some cases, should you follow them then, just because it is the rule, and it is the best thing to do according to the rule. And the more you think about it, it becomes more and more complex. And it becomes more difficult to think right because you don't know what is right. The psychiatric care is not hard enough when a little girl gets murdered by a mentally ill person, because the doctor thought that he did not have to be looked in. But can we make it even harder, and be sure that this never happens again. Is it because of the rules this tragedy happen or is it the doctors who did not make the right decision. Maybe we should go more on the rules and not blame one person. But their system did not work this time, and maybe it will not work at all. But we trust them that they do the right thing, or the system trusts them. Because they follow rules, and that is the right thing. But on the way, they have to make some own decisions, of their experience and according to rules. And doesn't that say that they make decisions of their own rule that they have made up. A rule that the can lean back to and say that i made this decision according to a rule.

My own opinion
I don't really know my own opinion. You can twist this problem in so many ways and you don't really get a grip of a good answer. I don't think that this problem has a good answer, and an answer that is the best. Cause people make up rules according to what the think. Is that really following the rule, maybe it is, and maybe not. But one thing is sure. They will never find a good solution to this. I don't think so, and does it say that I'm wrong. You could not really be sure.
