Should We Help Poeple Die Is it alright to help people who are really sick and live with pain every day and wants to die,? What reason do we have to keep him alive with all the pain if the person probably never will get any better,?
Euthanasia is when you help sick poeple to die. There are two kinds of euthanasia, active and passive euthanasia. Passive euthanaisa is when the patient stop taking medicine and stop life-sustaining treatment.You can give the person pain-relieving so he can die a natural death without very much pain. Active euthanasia is when you give the person drugs to die.

Active euthanasia is illlegal

In most countries passive euthanasia is legal but not active euthanasia. Even if a person is very sick and wants to die to be released from the suffering, there is nothing we can do to help him. There are no circumstances where we can shorten someone´s life. That´s a crime by law and a doctor who give a patient help to die can get imprisonment for murder or manslaughter. But is it really right to keep people alive, when they wish to die? Isn´t it better to help them to rest in peace?

If it was permitted

If active euthanasia was permitted it could happen that we killed people who didn´t really want to die. It is hard to know if a patient really mean that he want to die. And there it be harder to have confidence for the hospitality when you don´t know if you´re gonna get killed. And there will also be some hospital staff who will be forced to use active euthanasia even though they don´t want to.

It is permitted in some places

There are three places in the world where you can use active euthanasia. Holland was the first country to make active euthanasia legally. Belgium and the federal state of Oregon in the USA are the other places where it is permitted. But you have to live in the country or state to be able to use euthanasia. In Switzerland active euthanasia isn´t legal but you can get help to commit suicide. There is one organisation that helps foreigners.

Christianity and the Bible about euthanasia

The christians think that it´s good with passive euthanasia because you shoudn´t make a person´s life longer if there is no hope that he will get any better. But you shouldn´t make a life shorter so they don´t think it´s good with active euthanasia. Besides there is actually murder to use active euthanasia and that isn´t good. They think that maybe there is a reason why the person should live a little longer. Should sick poeple be able to get help to die whenever they want to? Is it good to make active euthanasia legal even if it means that poeple can get killed by misstake?
