On 10th December1948, the General Meeting of United Nations approved and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Man’s Right. After this solemn decision, the meeting gave instruction to General Secretary to spread widely the Declaration and, for this end, to publish and distribute the text not only in the official five languages of the international Organization, but also in as many languages as possible.

Universal Declaration of Man’s Rights is an ideal to reach from all people and all Nations, in order that every man and every Istitutions of the society, must have constantly in mind this Declaration, strive to promote, with teaching and education, the respect of these rights and of these feedoms, and to guarantee, by progressive national and international measure, the universal and effective recognition and respect both among people of the same State member and the ones living in the territory subordinated to their jurisdiction.

We tell, yet, about Man’s Rights and not humankind. Is so, their universality decline because of the exclusion of all female gender.

Woman and children’s rights are a inalienable, integrating and indivisible part of Universal Human Rights. The fullness and equal sharing of woman in politic, civil, economic, social and cultural life to national, regional and international and the unprotect of every sexual discrimination’s form are the priority objectives of International Community.

2° article of Universal Declaration of Human Right states that « every people are up all rights and freedom declamed in the […] Declaration without a any distinction for race, colour, sex, language, religion ».

But how is it possible therefore that, also today, in the XXI century, more than half illiterates in the world are women, the women work more hour than men and the majority of their work isn’t paid and is unjustly neglected and unknown, and in the economical and political field their sharing to decision-making process remain very limited?

This is a small part about discriminations of race, colour, sex, language and religion all over in the world. But stop on that probably, if not certainly, all women, or at least the western women, consider the highest level of discrimination man-woman never exist: ISLAMIC WOMEN!

In those State where the laws Koran are applied more rigidly, the women have less freedom than men and often are put on inferior gradin. They, yet, not always notice as injustice the diversity of their conditions, received as cultural habit. But even if they felt this injustice not always they can change their situation.

Lots are women’s freedoms nearly or completely missed:

less freedom of shift;

less freedom of expression;

less freedom of word;

less freedom of salutation;

less possibility to attend high school;

less possibility of career; minor possibility to cover offices or roles of responsibility in civil and religion area;

any possibility to take part political life or to be elects;

any possibility to decide of own future or of own son’s future;

submission to man, who can repudiate her (and not vice versa) and cohabitation with other wife choose by man;

obligation to cover own body and often the face, too.

"Woman is, together with dog and pig, one of the being that corrupts Moslem’s pray"

Mohammed, said:« I didn’t see anybody more disable than you women about intelligence and religion; a serious man can be easily corrupted by some of you» and « I look at inside the hell and I saw that women formed the greater part of its inhabitants».

On the law court, female testimony hasn’t any value, even if it’s made by four women, and also marriages aren’t valid if there isn’t a male witness.

Koran teaches that: "if some of your women commit baseness, bring four male witnesses to testimony against them and if this witness about the truth of the fact, shut the guiltier home until they will die or Allah will save them"(Koran 4,15). In these Countries, that observe Islamic law, it is therefore legal to kill a women for crimes of adultery and of prostitution, with tacit consent of the local law that defends this fact as "self honour defence".

Italy gave and continue to give hospitality to women of every race and religion indiscriminately, in the respect of their rights, stated by the Universal Declaration of Rights and further underlined by our Constitution.

INTERVIEW AT A MOSLEM WOMAN THAT LIVES IN ITALY

1) "The woman is, together with dog and pig, is one of the animals that corrupts Moslem’s pray". Do you agree with Mohammed words?

Yes, I do. When the man skims woman’s hand the pray is automatically cancelled.

2) Is it right that the woman is inferior than man?

Yes, because they have got different duties inside the family: the woman has to do houswork ( wash, iron), while the man has to be breadwinner.

3) Have you ever known women that tried to change their situation? How are they now? Where do they live?

Yes, I know many women that tried to change their situation they married with man of different religion and most of them are converted now they live better in Europe or in their Countries with the husband.

4) Do you consider exaggerate some impositions ( for example smaller freedom of shift, of greeting)?

No, because the woman has to be faithful at own man and vice versa.

Besides she has to stay at home doing houswork and can go out only in emergency cases with men of the family or with women older than her as her mother-in-law.

5) How is the relationship with men of her family? Is there or not any impositions against her?

The relation is good, because each of us carry out own duties and we respect each other, so there will never be any imposition from them.

6) Here, in Italy, how do you decide to educate her daughters?

I decide to educate my daughters according to western model.

7) How do you feel in Italy? Accepted or "repudiated"?

At the beginning I didn’t feel accepted, because I wore the veil, but when I took it away I was accepted. However I think it’s wrong because people have to respect all rules and customs of the other Countries.

8) What does tolerance mean in your opinion?

I think that tolerance is an important element and it is one of fundamental principles the life: there wouldn’t be wars if there were more tolerance.

9) Are you tolerant from the point of view of religions? Why?

Yes, because we are all equals and we must respected each other indiscriminately.

10) Do you yet respect the five points of your religion? Which more often do you leave out? Why?

No, not all because I haven’t got much time to dedicate to the pray five times a day even if it is one of my duty. About the others I try to respect them.

Although these data don’t represent the Islamic religion on the whole and judgement is in any case inopportune because Islam is a part of a culture of different people. For these people the tentative of a social regulation, introduced by the Koran, represented a form of evolution in the past comparing the customs inherit from previous polytheism, it’s easy to understand how, some part of it, can be interpreted also in extreme ways like Taleban did in Afghanistan.
