World coming down

Israeli killing Palestinians.
Palestinians killing Israeli.
For what?
For religious beliefs?
For a bigger place to live?
For nothing.
These days it’s strongly recommended not to watch the news.
It just makes you lose your last beliefs in the future and gain some more misanthropy.
The UN and the world have failed miserably.
There are no human rights.
Far from everyone gets medication,
education or the right to believe in whatever they
want to.
Instead there are acts of warfare, starvation,
honour killing and genocide.
And a security council that mostly looks to its
own interests (Kuwait vs. Rwanda, anyone?)
instead of doing the right thing ; what the UN
once was founded for. As every effort seems futile, we might as well
come to the conclusion that the world is never
going to change. The UN's utopia will always remain
just a utopia, as human beings are egoistic in                 Will we ever see another world?
nature and it’s most likely that our mentality
will never change.
If you don’t want to get very confused with anger, I suggest that you don't watch any TV at all.
Especially not those animal programs in which random American pet activists are complaining about how they are mistreating some monkeys in, like, Sierra Leone. And by “mistreating” I mean eating.
I guess the level of ignorance is total then, when people are starving to death and all we care about are some pets. You can’t have animal rights without human rights.
Is there any hope?
Although, some say the changes during the last 50 years are about to fulfil the dream of “a global world” A world where we citizens get more dependent on each other and have to co-operate, and where things that goes on far away get more important. Some of them even made sense, for example the report “our global neighbourhood” in which the commission for global co-operation in 1995 presented some reforms for the international co-operation and the UN in particular.
The contents of the report was how the UN:s peacekeeping activities can be improved, how to increase the international law, our safety and economical safety.
9 years later nothing has changed. Why?
Because a major improvement of the UN demands that we take away the USA, France, China, Russia and Great Britain their right of veto. Reducing their power, that is. Think they’ll agree with that? No way.
That is why there is no hope.
Will we ever see another world?
