World religions causing world conflicts?
Nothern Ireland, Iraq, Israel and Palestina, there are crises all over the world. And most of them are called religious crises. But what is the conflicts really about? Is it about religion or is this just a cover for its proper causes?

It is a lot of talking about it, religion, and in most cases in relation to conflicts and crises in the world. But is there a principal connection? How much do we know of its objective reasons? There are serval ways how to define a conflict, but to find the right definition is worse. Mostly it isn’t just about religion, or just about politics, social dissatisfiction or money, it is probably a combination.

A perfect example of todays anger between the groups will absolutely be the battle of Boyne. It is a historical event from 1641, which evidently had a powerful affect on the conflict’s continuing. This day is still celebrated by Protestants by marching, which every year causes more and more disturbance between the contending parties. It is a kind of bewildering that they still want to cause these unnecessary troubles, even though the growing irritation. It seems like it had become a bond of tradition, difficult to let go.

Will Nothern Ireland ever look into a bright future?

Blaming the religion
The violence in Nothern Ireland is usually crudely described as a fight between Catholics and Protestants. This makes our minimal knowledge visible, because religion has never been a factual reason. This description has been used just to make the social and economic gap between Irish- and Englishmen visible. Two religious groups have always been fighting, but never because of their faith. And if the conflict is not about religion, why blame it? It will probably now, when events like this that attracted a lot of attention, that each individual will check their own prejudice against other people. Because it is so obvious that there is (in Nothern Ireland) two groups full of prejudice against each other , and this will probably keep going into the next generation. And that is why it seems to be a riot difficult to settle, and with no end. It will keep going on and on, like a never ending story...
