School talks - Youth talks
The tenth of May students, headteachers and teachers involved in the ECCE project were able to talk in a video conference for one hour.People on line were from four schools: ITCG ”Mosè Bianchi”, Bishop Heber High School, Malbank School and Parkskolan. Unfortunately it was not possible to connect Gimnazia ”Romain Rolland” this time. The video conference was of special value because Parkskolan had a visit from Mr Allan Kettleday- the Headteacher of Malbank school.
It was a real adventure to have three studios on line at the same time. We were happy to be able to see each other and to talk. A problem was that as soon as you talked you were visual on the screen. It was a bit difficult to organize. Next time we have better decide the speaking order in advance.

Headteachers´ talk
The conference started with headteachers´ talk. Mario Marcante from ”Mosè Bianchi” told that they were going on with their Freeway-work and preparations for next ECCE- conference in Monza in November. He also expressed his happiness to have Allan Kettleday present in a video conference for the first time as well as a visiting headteacher from Zimbabwe, Mr Madannanashe Chikosha, CHI BI High School.
Our headteacher Åke Collin expressed how happy he was to seeing all again. He reminded about the great meeting we had in Malpas last autumn. He also reminded about the fact that Mario Marcante was the one who always very warmly talk about European cooperation among young people as a way to achieve peace.
Students´talk
Then students talked about articles in the last issue of Freeway. Among other things they asked questions about the grading systems, about abortion and about prejudice about people in the respective countries – Swedes blond and blue, British ”snobby-scone-eating ...???
They also talked about and compared Youth councils and Young persons council and councils in school.
The ECCE headline
Teachers involved decided to have articles about ECCE under the ECCE headline in Freeway.
Articles of special interest for the ECCE purpose will be collected under this headline until all will be moved to a special ECCE homepage.
An exciting experience
We were happy to see each other. The students who participated in the conference in Malpas were especially excited.
For many it was their first experience of video conferencing – and even though there were some problems it was interesting.
