INTERNET: A BIG WONDER

Internet was born in the 60s with the cold war.

United States Departments worked at the project of network of computer control, able to work in case of atomic war, depending connections between military commands and strategic bases.

The network was made from independent knots between them but able to create, transmit and receive messages.

In 1969 early knots were born, but in 1980 it became a computer cobweb called world wide web (www) and so, all the world could accede to it.

In 1994 there were only a few hundred web pages but today there are billions.

With the passing of the years internet is growing more and more and now more than half a billion people use it because it arrives everywhere: on telescreen, on the mobile phone.

It’s the biggest library of the world : it has revolutionized the way we live and work too.

Internet is a big wonder, it represents a means of knowledge and a means to receive and seed information using a simple message. Everything could be bought on the net.

The development of e-commerce (electronic commerce) arises the problem of the security: limits of security and protection technique will be necessary to protect personally facts.

Thanks to internet the world is becoming smaller and smaller: distances are shortening and everything can be achieved.

Soon in the future there will be more and more interactivity between internet and the user.

Boys must know internet very well because it’s the future of everyone of us.
