Differences in School

When English students are walking around
in strict schools with school uniforms are
Swedish students walking around in expensive
brand-name-clothing laughing at them who
have cheap copies of brand-name-clothing.
Does school uniforms really help to reduce
bullying in this society?

In England they have allways had school uniforms, and we have it in some private schools in Sweden too. English students think that it is a matter of course to wear the same clothes, every day in school. The entire uniform for a English student cost´s as much

as a pair of jeans cost for a average- Swedish student. The boys in England wear long grey or black trouser (shorts may be worn in the Summer) a white shirt, school tie (optional in most primary schools) and a jumper or sweater with the school logo on. The colour is the choice of the schools and black shoes. The girls ware as above but often they ware skirts instead of trousers. They can also have a summer school dress.

In England they have 3 terms, on autumn term starts in September, and ends at the end of December. Their spring term starts in January and it´s until April. And their last term is a summer term and it starts in April to July. They are all seperated by vacations, about a week, disregarded from their winter-holiday. That vacation is about 3 weeks. The longest is the summer vacation and it lasts for six weeks, the winter and spring vacations are both two weeks. Each term is about thirteen weeks and there is a weeks half term break. In Sweden we have 2 terms, one Autumn and one Spring. They are about 18 weeks long and are separated by the Winter vacation which is 3 weeks and the Summer which is about 10 weeks. We also have a few smaller vacations, for example November-holiday, sports-holiday and Easter-holiday.
