Hullo. I am Matt Atkinson and I am sixteen years old. I go to school at Bishop Heber High School, where I am learning all about History, Politics, Art and English. I hang around a lot with other Freewayer and miscreant Tom Hopkin. My main interests are cartography and beekeeping, but when I am not busy at the hives, or plotting unmapped territories, I enjoy listening to music (currently I really like Finnish psychedelic folk and also the band Deerhoof), playing music (guitar and accordion mostly, but also some other instruments), and going to concerts. I like to read, and I suppose my favourite authors are Franz Kafka, David Foster Wallace and Dave Eggers. I also really like Homer’s Odyssey and Iliad. Film is something I am super into, and I really like Wes Andersons’ Rushmore and Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal, but I couldn’t pick a favourite. I think maybe I’d like to make films for a living, although the lure of accountancy is hard to resist. Oh, also, one day I would like to grow a beard and maybe have a girlfriend.
