What is the first thing you think about when you hear “Sweden”? Is it Abba´s “Waterloo” in the Eurovision SongContest in 1979? Or is it the cheap furniture from IKEA that you find so difficult to put together?
For all the world Italy is the best example of "Bella Vita": arts & good cooking framed by wonderful views. But what about Italians? Are we still seen like Mafiosi or great lovers? Although Bulgaria is territorially inferior to most of the large European countries, its culture is immensely distinguishable and diverse. In July I am going alone to Peru for a month. Now, according to my parents, I am officially a lunatic. There are apparently many dangers of travelling abroad, as they told me. When my friends and I get together to have a party, after the revelry, when we are sat around a roaring log fire, glasses of wine in hand, cheeks red with cheer, the talk invariably turns to time travel. We debate (often heatedly if we have had lots of wine) the moral and scientific issues surrounding time travel, our own theories as to how time travel could be achieved (I have always favoured the good old “alarm clock in a microwave” concept) and, almost always, discuss where we would go should the technology ever be available to us. Personally, I would like to visit ancient Athens.
