
Stellan Skarsgård - A swedish
actor
We have many talented Swedish actors, although
Sweden is a small country.
The actors have been very successful internationally and have played
in well-known movies.
I am going to tell you a little more about Stellan Skarsgård.
Stellan Skarsgård was born in june, 1951 in
Gothenburg, Sweden.
He became a teen star in 1968 when he played the title role in
the TV miniseries "Bombi Bitt och jag".
After that (1972-88) he was employed at The Royal Dramatic Theatre
in Stockholm,
where he starred in such productions as "Vita rum" (1988),
"Ett drömspel" (1986) and "Mäster
Olof" (1988).
Stellan is a very talented actor and has appeared in over fifty
films since 1982.
He also got a Guldgagge (Sweden`s Oscar) and a Silver Berlin Bear.
He made his entrance into American film with "The Unbearable
Lightness of Being"
(1988). But his real breakthrough came whit Lars von Trier`s "Breaking
The Waves" (1996).
And he made two more films with Von Trier, "Dancer In The
Dark" (2000) and "Dogville"
(2003).
Stellan has played in many other famous movies too, "Good
Will Hunting" (1997), "Ronin"
(1998), "Insomnia" (1997), "The Glass House"
(2001) and "Deep Blue Sea" (1999) |
