WHAT ABOUT THIS WEIGHTCHAOS!?

 

In today's magazines and TV-programs almost everything is about how to exercise, how to eat, what to wear. To wear these clothes you have to be fit or just naturally thin. How should you know what to do not to get too unhealthy or “too healthy”? But these weight-magazines and -programs can be something good too, because we have so many people who are overweight.
So this is both bad and good. Because many teenagers in these days get so affected of all this talk about how to be to fit in. So when all this talk about weight is everything who exist in their brains it can be dangerous for them. They start to exercise a lot and eat too little. About 5% of all women in Sweden have or had some sort of eating problems, and if we count them with a lighter problem -also called anorexia light- the number get doubled.

Why these problems?

A big cause to the eating problems probably is the weight fixation on TV and in magazines. The other cause I think is the growing interest for clothes. Now you almost have to be thin as a roke to get in those super-slimed jeans! You don't accept that everybody are not made for these jeans, that your body fit better in some other jeans-model. And it is because that all these magazines are writing that you should wear these jeans to fit in!

Can it be something good?

But at the same time I can understand all this weight-magazines and – TV programs. Because one half a million Swedish people have obesity. I think that media want to warn the people how dangerous it is! Because you put yourself in an earlier dead! You can get cancer, diabetic 2, thrombus and problems with your joints. So these programs can be a good deterrent but in the same time they can be bad.

How do my body & I feel good?
So what should you do to be just like the people you were meant to be? -You should eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and some fruit or sandwiches between the meals, thinks my school-nurse. It is good if you eat with two-three hours interval between every thing you eat because then the stomach get some time to digest the food. You should also eat everything from the food-circle. Then the body get all what it need to feel good. Like vitamin's from fruit and vegetables, carbohydrate's from potatoes and pasta and proteins from meat and fish. The body also want to exercise to feel good. To exercise in some way – walking, biking or what ever you like – three days a week the body feels good. To combine exercise with the right food your body will feel really good! But the more you exercise the more food the body need. And if you take care of your body you also can eat sweets or pizza without hurting the body. Another important thing is to accept your body as it is, curvy or thin. Because don't you want to be unique?

Wrong-this is too little food if you're a “normal-active” person. Right– you should eat like this if you're a “normal-active” person. Wrong – no vegetables and a little bit too much food to eat for a “normal-active” person
