Strategy games are games where the players use their
decision making skills to deceive, avoid and predict the enemy's movement.

The absolutely most known and played strategy game ever is chess.

The story in Warhammer takes place in the 41:st millenium, where the mankind faces extinction as new races colonize the universe, mankinds only hope is the Imperial-legion and the Space marines who dedicated their lives to protect the human race. Space marines are elites among elites but too few and growing weak while a threat rises from within, Chaos, the Chaos space marines once were Space marines but was turned by the chaos gods.

Other foes of the Imperial-legion are the Orcs and the Necrons, Orcs are savage beasts who've conquered the largest parts of the known universe, they are not the smartest foe but their large quantity can over take the the most experienced unit. The Necrons, now on soulless corpses who gave their souls to C'tan to gain immortality, in return C'tan wants then to still his hunger for souls by claiming new areas. These are just a few of the races struggling for survival.
