Bad taste... the movie that some people love and that some people hate. There is nobody in between! You either love it or you hate it and that is how it is! Anybody who sees this movie gets a pretty good idea of what they think quite immediately. And to tell you the truth... that is often:
-“yuck”, or “#/&/d... (()) =f...// (god d...&/ movie”, or “ban it again!” But some people think more like:
-“Oh... brain substance... yeah I like”, or “pretty funny, eh... eh (an elbow in the side of the poor human next to him or her) don’t you also think so, eh?” Or perhaps like this:
-“Don’t ban it! Please god... it’s easily the movie of the century! Don’t you dare do it! I’ll blow up the Reichstag before I see this movie banned again!” First I will give you all some short simple facts about the movie and then I will give you the reason for doing this and what I think about this movie. The Bad Taste movie was made 1987 and it took four years to make. Peter Jackson was still in school when he made it. Bad Taste actually started as a school project! Jackson financed most of the movie himself, later on he got some founds, but at the start it was just him and his friends doing this incredible movie. When the film was done, it was officially in the genre of Action-Comedy. It’s about a town in New Zeeland, called Kaihoro that gets attacked by aliens, and then some special forces are sent in… called the “Boys”. They are trying to save a money collector called Giles and kill the evil aliens. My thoughts and reasons! I think this movie is one of the funniest films I’ve ever seen! You have probably figured out that I like this movie. I saw this movie when I was about 14 years old. I was laughing my jaw off. I laughed when Barry was running around on the beach, with an alien on his tail, worried if the man chasing him is “the minister of work or something”. And all the other funny stuff. I was laughing and I was laughing. It was unbelievable! It was like a laughing machine was attached to my body. And another time when I saw it, this time at home, I watched the film… and then I rewinded it and watched the whole movie again. I guess it has meant quite a lot to me. It made me the man I am today. I chose this movie because I like it and I wanted to get to know what everybody else thinks about it. Beside it was really funny chasing down people in the hallways and just put them against the wall and asks them if they have seen Bad Taste. Now I will show you some statistics, that at least I think is rather interesting for once, what about 20 people have to say about this movie.
Bad? 25% Secondly I will show you what’s the favorite Bad Taste scene amongst those I’ve intervjued.
1 Vote: The “Derek falls down from a cliff scene” when poor Derek gets pushed off a very large cliff and then falls down from it. Ouch! 1Vote: The beautiful scene when Derek takes out his heavy artillery. A BIG RED CHAINSAW! And it’s pretty too. This scene where Derek runs around with his PRECIOUS CHAINSAW and kills aliens. More ouch! 1Vote: The Derek PRECIOUS CHAINSAW scene where he jumps down at the alien leader in the end. Big ouch! 1Vote: The scene in the beginning where Barry shoots three magnum .44 slugs in an aliens head. An alien he actually thought was an politician because of the slow way he was moving. This sadly enough results in that poor Barry gets some brain substance (oh…brain substance… yeah I like) and some blood on his trousers. 1Vote: The scene when Derek runs out of ammo for his UZI, when he gets attacked by five alien buggers and runs out of ammo, but yet he turns around and he simulates that he is shooting at one alien, and the dumb extra terrestrial really thinks that he is getting shot. HA HA HA! 1Vote: When an alien is doing the good old “you’ll soon be dead sign”, by pretending slitting his own throat. But unfortunately he really did slit his throat. Which of course looks pretty dumb. 2Votes: The pinecone scene where an alien lying on the ground tosses a pinecone at Derek’s head who is now having a real headache. 2Votes: The sheep scene when a sheep gets blown up by a RPG rocket. Messy! 2Votes: When an alien is sitting in the bushes with a dead body eating its brain. That’s classy! 3Votes: When an alien throws up in a bowl and then all the other aliens eats from it. Yum! 4Votes: The bird scene after Derek falls down from the cliff and actually survives, but gets a hole in the back of his head, where pieces of his brain keeps falling out. He lands quite softly on some seagulls and their nest. Thirdly I will give you some other messages from those I’ve intervjued. It was funny to watch Bad Taste and then the Lord of the rings.Stupid and funny aliens. All scenes were bad. More like several scenes instead of a real movie. Jaws are better. A bad try. Don’t like Alien movies. Teenager punk movie. Only remember the seagull scene. Worth to se. The jokes makes it funny. The movie is punk. No teacher has ever seen it. Black jokes.
