Captured in a deadly relationship

A relationship between two people is supposed to be something beautiful.
A man and a woman who are in love and happy together. Maybe they’re thinking about getting married and then have children. Everything seems to be perfect.
But things change, people change.

Somewhere, somehow, something goes just so very wrong along the way. He starts taking control over her. He is in charge and she is supposed to obey his orders and do everything he tells her to do.
He gives her mean remarks. The words turn her down, every word digs her deeper down the mud. They take away her self-respect and self-esteem.
In the beginning there are only words. But with time the words turn to beatings.
From love to serious physical abuse.
She wants to do everything right, she wants him to think that she is good enough.
Deep inside she knows that the way he is treating her isn’t right, that that’s not the way it is supposed to be. But, she is ashamed. She doesn’t dare to tell anyone and she dares not leave him.
A part of her still believes that things will be better, that he’ll change again.
She doesn’t know better than to love him.
He almost hates her.
It should be on the contrary.

She is stuck in a deadly relationship.
A relationship she just doesn't dare leave.
She doesn’t feel safe alone, and without him she is alone. At least she thinks she is. Everything he has done to her has left her feeling worthless. He has convinced her that she is absolutely nothing, and that she has no one but him.
So, the first reason not to leave him is that, another is that she really doesn't want to make him angry. God knows what he’d do next then.

Having the control over her makes him feel big and strong.
He hates the feeling in his stomach when he is hurting her. But he has to, in his eyes she can’t do a single little thing right.
She is cheeky when she is answering things he says. And she missed a spot when she scrubbed the floor. And she always fries the meat the wrong way.
He is so stupid, he can’t treat her this way. But he does. He knows it is wrong.

At least she decides to make an attempt to get away from him and all the misery.
He noticed what she was trying to do, and it made him furious, sad and furious!
He grabbed a strong grip around the back of her neck and made it really clear to her that she wasn’t going anywhere without him. That she is stuck.
She is captured in a deadly relationship.
