The importance of relationships
All human beings are born with a certain need for social contact. If you don't have any good relationships your life is going to be empty and most likely boring.
One of the most important kind of relationship is the one you have with your family. The family is the people you grow up with and the people that you can trust more than any other people.
To have good friends is also very important to most people. It's always nice to have friends to have fun with in your spare time.
| One common way to make new friends today is through the internet.
There are lots of so called communities where you can meet new friends in a simple way.
A problem with online-chatting is that you can't really trust the person you're chatting with because you haven't met in real life.
It is very common that people lie about their age.
Otherwise I think it's very nice that you can easily talk to people from all over the world just by using your computer.

We humans are from the beginning a flock animal and already when the monkeys were developed into humans it was very important with good relationships in order to cooperate. The humans' ability to work together was what made us the animal which today stands above all the other animals.
It's still very important to be able to cooperate. Almost every job requires good relationships between the colleagues in order to get the work done. If two persons can't get along, it's really hard for them to work together.
In school it's important to get along with the other students as well as the teachers. People that are having trouble making friends and people that are bullied can have mental problems which often affects the grades.
I believe some people are happy living all alone but in today's society most things are based on being social. If you're not gifted with the ability of being social, or simply don't want to socialize, you can often be considered abnormal.
Unfortunately there are people who live alone against their will. I think many of these people are mentally ill and some of them even loose their will to live and choose to commit suicide.
I would say that the whole life is based upon relationships and it's almost impossible to live without them. A person with great relationships are often very happy.
Even though I think it's nice to be alone sometimes, I wouldn't want to live a life without friends and family.
