Four Girls – one dream

Since me and my three friends were about twelve years old, we’ve always wanted to live in the same apartment when we had to move to Örnsköldsvik for upper-secondary school. When we found out that we had been given the apartment we wanted, we started to plan where the TV was going to stand, where we were going to have the computer and so on. Many disputes later, everything was where it was supposed to be. We live in a three-bedroom apartment. Luckily we have two bath-rooms; otherwise I suppose it would have been chaotic in the morning. Especially in the morning if some of us were going to take a shower, but now when we have got two it’s cool. Since we live in the same apartment, we do nearly everything together, eat, laundry and a lot of other things. Maybe we're more like a family since we eat together, I don't know, but it's really nice to eat dinner with someone instead of by yourself.

Now, when one and a half year has passed since we moved in, I’ve learned a lot more about my friends. Living together with your best friends can be very trying.

Many people have wondered if we don’t get sick of each other. Well yes we do. We’ve been through many fights, arguing about silly stuff. But one thing that is good with fighting is that you let go of everything. You tell each other what’s wrong and you get to know more about the person. But most of the time we get along.

We painted with a chalk by me when I was little..

One disadvantage with us living together like we do is that we don’t go to visit other people/friends very often. Mostly they come to us, but hey, that’s good, then I don’t have to move my fat ass. ;) I’m just kidding. But there are more advantages than disadvantages. If I didn’t live with my friends I would only have two other options. One, I could live by myself with a rent for more than 2500 SEK/month (~250 €). Now instead, the rent is about 1900SEK. The second option is to live with my parents, but I don’t feel like commuting more than 100km to school every day.

Anyway, I lost the track for a moment; the subject was relationship, right? I and my friends have been friends for as long as I can remember. When we were little we always had slumber parties at each others´ houses. Our parents must have been sick of us. We also camped a lot, and not only in the back-yard. We have slept in the woods, on an island, at the beach, playhouses and in each others attics. Well, everywhere you can imagine. So I have almost grown up with these three girls, they are like my sisters. I can talk about everything to them, without being ashamed and I'm so happy to have them in my life.
