Maria Sharapova……The Best!!!
The review "Sports Illustrated" elected her like the most beautiful athlete of world sport, "Vogue" the most elegant, (for me, too), "Pepsi" signed with her a
multimillionaire contract in dollars like testimonial of two new drinks in all the world. Her is Maria Sharapova, the first Russian player in the Tennis Story to
reach the Number 1 position, of the World Ranking WTA, the first and one Big Mother’s daughter to win, in 2004, the prestigious Tournament of Wimbledon,
in 2006, the Us Open and in this year 2008, on Saturday 19th Jenuary, the Australian Open. Three of four Grand Slam’s Tournament: the Roland Garros, in
French, on red land, is only remaining. Maria is leader on hard land and on grass. The 2007 for Sharapova was a disastrous year because of a problem on the
right shoulder and left knee even if now she is in an excellent state. In fact last year, Maria reached only, for her potentiality, the Final of Australian Open,
where she lost against the youngest of Williams sisters, Serena, 1/2 Final of French Open, defeat by Ana Ivanovic (actual Number 2, only 20 years old), 1/8 Final
of Wimbledon, defeat Venus Williams, major sister of Serena and 1/16 Final in USA against the Poland neophyte Agneska Radwanska. She won only Final in
San Diego. Maria Sharapova was born in Siberia on 19th April 1987. She is 20 years old. From country of Sochi Maria, barely 4 years old, began a tennis
pilgrimage, transfer with father Yuri Sharapov and mother Yelena, in USA, getting to famous Academy in Florida of Nick Bollettieri, where she moved first
steps tennis players like the most famous Andre Agassi….
Then, if we put tennis away for a moment and analyse Maria off-court, Masha becomes simply a splendid blond girl, tall farther 1,80m, (exactly 1,88m), long
and tapering legs, determination and grim countenance and in particular class and elegance…. A character still to smooth out. In fact she isn’t loved by tennis
colleagues; but the mess-tin was hard and maybe Masha must still sweeten a personality that was very important for her to climb the success. Now she has all,
beauty, fame, results, gratifications……….
