MUAY THAI
Muay Thai is the Thailandeese fight . It is a millenary gift and sport. It started 2000 years ago from thai people that was nomadic and they migrate from India to
Thailand.
Muay Thai fighter can use: elbows, knee, kick, punches and he can throw to ground.
I have been practicing this art from six month, four days a week and Im very fond of it. Now Im reading a book that it was written by my coach,
he is the champion of the world. The book gives a lot of information about the M.T.
One of the most important aspect of this art is the whole of rituals.
The Ram Muay is the ritual dance that every fighter does before the match. It is divide in three parts.
The first is WAI KRUU, homage for master. The other dance rituals are used for stretching, chase away the bad spirit and draw the spirit of the
fighters that were dead on battle ground.
The amulet: For buddist thailandeese boxer there are many amulets but the most important are two:
The mongkol is the "magic" crown that the fighter dress during the Ram Muay. The meaning of Mongkol is "Lucky". It is an amulet that it is donated from the coach to the pupil.
One of the other amulet is the Kruang Ruang. It is personal and for the tradition, the pupil brings it to his master, with some lucky things and the coach makes for him
one or two armlets that hell use during the match. The tools that are used for Muay Thai training are:
| Focus: They are used to train the speed of the elbows and punches. Box sack: Train the heaviness of all techniques Pao: They are used for every techniques train Is more important that the partner does resistance when he receives all the hits and he must attack the partner for to train his defense. |
|
Muay Thai includes 45 "KATA". They are basic sequences of techniques that will be hand down to the next generations.
This summer, for my holiday, Im going to Thailand to visit the most important cities and their beautiful temples.I think that Ill stay one week in Bangkok and another
week to Phuket for the wonderful beach and sea.
My dream is to do the training in that place with a thailandese master. Id like also to see some matches in the Kings stadium the "Rajadanaermn" .
