Sustainable development
Sustainable development should allow today' s generation to satisfy their needs while keeping the possibility for next generations to satisfy their needs as well.

Over the past 50 years the average global temperature has increased at the fastest rate ever recorded in history. Experts think the trend is accelerating: the 10 hottest years have all occurred since 1990. Earth is getting hotter, and that' s not good. For example average USA temperatures could be 3 to 9 degrees higher by the end of the century.
This will lead to many bad things to happen:
The main cause of this imminent tragedy is the heavy pollution in air of carbon dioxide that are trapping the sun's heat and causing the planet to warm up. Previous generations are living us an hard inheritance and we should do our best starting from now on preventing at least the huge part of the damage. Unfortunately we' ve lost the respect for the environment. I' m not talking about “loving” the environment (even if it should exist anyway), but at least respect it while respecting, at the same time, who will come after us and surely doesn't want to live in a planet that’s becaming something really close to a time bomb.

Reducing pollutions is very important and is the most important issue of sustainable development concern. The energy to keep us doing what we usually do every day while not hurt the environment exists and must be used. I' m talking about renewable energy that can literally give a deep breath to earth stopping global warming phenom to increase. Of course I' m not an expert and I can't tell you (for example) that is better using wind turbines instead of photovoltaic panels but surely both are really better than fossil fuels.

Sustainable development, even if is an issue of mass interests, like many others problems doesn't assume the correct weight for politicians and journalists that prefer talking about other matters.
Just remember we are probably the last that can still change the situation.
