Tennis was born in the last years of 1800, although during the French Revolution was described with the terminology "Pallacorda", and gets in
few years ever-increasing success thus become a real sport, not only for the richest families but also for middle class and especially not as
pastime. As in the past and how today, it is not a sport for all people.
Tennis, for me, was an incredible discovery that allowed me to appreciate the excellent
qualities of it, on the contrary of Italian football. All this
happened in 2004 when I was studying for the exam of lower middle school, during a break I sat on the sofa and accidentally switched the TV
on Sky Sport 3, where I saw play and how you should know from my article about Maria Sharapova . Even if I should have to continue study until
the end of the game I didnt stand up, because I was glued at the television. From that day, for me, tennis becomes a sport which I most
appreciated and followed for the characteristics and properties that few others have. The silence and respect for the players who are playing in
order not to disturb them, is a very important factor. Then not yelling, not commit damage to the structures of stadiums, respect fans of another
player of another country. An example, is the Federation Cup where players from different countries clash in turn with their fellow team to defeat
the opponent team. All these things probably happen in tennis and not in football competition perhaps because tennis is not so popular as
football, is not loved in Italy perhaps because it isnt very known and followed. Besides, as Ive already mentioned several times Maria
Sharapova in the women's field, I appreciate her both as a person and as for the particular type of game which adopts as an example of
humility, the number one,, Roger Federer.
This is "tennis" for me!!!
