The town where I live and go to school is called Radolfzell and it’s
a great place for getting around by bike. There are good cycle paths
all over the town and you hardly ever have to go by car. Lots of children
go to school by bike and many adults cycle to work, or use their bikes
to do some shopping. There are lots of different tours, which you
can choose from.
Radolfzell is situated at Lake Constance. As the area is very flat,
it’s suitable for everyone to cycle. If you get tired you can
come back to Radolfzell by boat or train. Or you can go by boat first
and then cycle back. The cycle tour around Lake Constance is one of
the most popular in Europe. It’s 270 kilometres and it takes
about 5-8 days. Along the way you can do some sightseeing or go for
a nice swim in the lake. As a tourist in Radolfzell you can go on
an organised bike trip, choose it yourself, or get your luggage transported
separately.
There are four cycle shops in the town and it costs from €8.00
a day to hire a bike.
