Recycling

You are right! Everyone has the opinion that recycling is a good thing and will help us to solve one of the biggest problems of the pollution of the environment. But not many people are ready to sort their garbage and to think or act environment-friendly. In my country, we have a good recycling-system. The government has made it a very important issue to limit the pollution and the costs which the sorting of waste causes. In my country, the people start to sort their leftovers at home. Therefore every household has its own recycling-system or construction. It consists of different-coloured trash cans. We have to sort our rubbish in plastic, used-paper and biological waste. Every week a garbage car comes and takes the leftovers. The garbage car takes the rubbish to a garbage dump. If you don't sort your rubbish, the recycling company does not pick up your rubbish any more. That is a great deterrent for the people, because then they have to take their rubbish to a garbage dump on their own. This costs a lot more than the garbage collection at home. But not only the recycling at home is a step against the pollution of the environment. In our shops you can choose between products with a recycled packaging or a new packaging. The environment-friendly packaging is labelled with special symbols (e.g. the green point).
