How would it be if we stopped the climate changes?

How to travel in an environment friendly way.

There are many ways to travel nowadays, but how does this affect our environment? The easiest way to help the climate would definitively be if we all would just stop travelling, but as we all know that's impossible by the way our society is built up.
But which way is the right way? How can we travel without destroying our environment?

The Earth is surrounded by many kinds of gases. One of those gases is ozone, which creates a layer around the earth with the function to protect us from ultraviolet radiation which can cause diseases like skin cancer.
Many people believe that the biggest reason behind the layer getting thinner is us humans. Our spillage of carbon dioxide and other gases to the atmosphere destroys this layer of ozone since it can not repair itself as fast as it decomposes. This will finally lead to an increase of the amount of ultraviolet radiation that hits the Earth, which can cause great danger.
Now the remaining question is – what can you do about it? First, you can always look at yourself and see if you perhaps can walk to the store instead of drive there by car. Another way might be to choose other ways of travelling.

Travel by train has proved to be 66 times better than to travel by flight.

In an article from the Swedish newspaper DN there was a research about which way was the best way of travelling (for more information you can always take a look at their website). They claimed that if you go by train from the Swedish capital city Stockholm to Malmö you will only cause 2 kilograms of carbon per person into the environment. If you compare these numbers to the bus, the car and the flight you can see that a bus causes 18 kilograms, a car 96 kilograms and the flight causes 132 kilograms climate-changing gases on that distance. That means that travelling by train is 66 times better than travelling by flight.
Sure, there are many different things that can cause disorders in the environment, but one easy thing to think of is to travel together with someone, perhaps a colleague to work or a friend to the gym.
It doesn’t take much to help the environment a bit; only by travelling together with a friend (which I can assure you is really fun!) you’ll not only help the environment but also your future grandchildren to grow up in a beautiful world. Plus, it might give you a good night’s sleep because you will feel like a better person by being able to help mankind on the Earth.
