Clothes has always been a way for humans to
express their personalities. Over the years fashion has changed in many
ways but some items have constantly returned. Today vintage clothing
is very popular and we believe that it will continue to be popular,
even in twenty years from now.
Nowadays there is a big financial crisis over the world. People lose
their jobs and established companies are working hard not to go bankrupt.
Even the fashion industry works hard to survive and because of that
clothes that were cheap a year ago have now become expensive.
We believe that the financial crisis definitely will get better, but
that people who have experienced this crisis will get more careful
with their money and start buying more vintage clothes. Today vintage
is very popular and we think that as the time goes by, it will get
more and more popular.
Our theory is also that people will start to think more about the
environment and how to make it better. We believe that will be another
reason for people to buy vintage clothes: it's better for the environment.
Factories don't have to make new clothes if people realize that it’s
better to recycle old clothes.
Before we wrote this article, we tried to read as many blogs as possible
to find out what young girls and boys think about vintage. Today there
are millions of people writing blogs about fashion of today, yesterday
and in the future. We thought that someone must write about vintage,
and as we started reading we found that many people, girls especially,
write a lot about vintage clothes.
That made us happy. It’s nice to see that the youth of today
knows about vintage clothing and how to recycle clothes by selling
and buying from each other. We think it’s important to be as
friendly to the environment as possible and we hope, and believe,
that the sale of vintage will increase and that the youth of today
will tell their children to be nice to the environment and buy vintage
clothes
What is vintage clothing?
Stores selling vintage clothes have become very popular in recent
years. Many people might be curious about the difference between vintage
and just plain old. Generally speaking, clothing produced before 1920
is considered to be antique but most clothing produced between 1920
and the late 1970s is considered vintage.
