Fair Trade

Fair Trade is about selling products at their actual value so that the workers from Africa or other poor countries where products like coffee, tea, cocoa come from, get appropriate money. Coffee is an important export good and sold all over the world.
About 25 million people in the poor countries live from coffee.
“Fair” means that the workers earn more money because it’s unfair that they can’t buy food for their families or that they don’t have enough money to pay school fees for their children.
“Trade” explains that the products which come from these poor countries are import products. Because of the long way and time it takes to bring these goods to Germany, we should normally pay more for them.
In Radolfzell they also have stores in which they sell products which are more expensive.
There are a lot of other different companies in Europe which want to help them.
In my opinion this idea is very good because we should pay more attention because it’s very important for other people and the “One World”.
People shouldn’t always think about their own business.
