D-Day, Saturday 24th October 2009

On Saturday we were allowed ‘to skip’ the lessons to prepare our breakfasts in the canteen. Each student brought something from home, cakes, biscuits, jams, croissants, fruit, chocolate spread, milk, yoghurt, cereals, some bread. We laid some tables and put our dishes on show, some students described them and they were recorded again in a video. (I’m sure some of them will become stars in the next future!) After that we took some photos, we students with our teachers and the headmaster; finally we could enjoy our breakfast. Some cakes were made with chocolate and pears, or with apples  or with yoghurt. Anyway they had a very short life, just  few minutes and the work of some girls and boys (and their mums) vanished in the mouths of voracious students and teachers. I can  remember expressions of delight on some faces. When the tables showed just some ‘ruins’ of  what some hours before had been ‘masterpieces’ of the Italian cuisine, we cleared the tables and put everything in its place.
