How is the youths` situation in Örnsköldsvik?

Our attention was to develop the work with a youth questionarie that we have been working with in our class earlier. The purpose with the questionarie was to find out how the youths` situation are in Örnsköldsvik, what they think is important and what they are missing in amusements ect. The four main subjects were economics, democracy, studies and social life. We have also been working with youths from SFI ( Swedish for imigrants), to get a better wiev from their side too. These are the questions that we have been working with.

We have handed out the questionari to about 120 students in grade one in the Upper Secondary school here on Parkskolan in Örnskoldsvik. On the questions if they know what they want to do after High school, most of them answered that they want to do futher studies but there are also many students that don´t know what they want to do. Some of the pupular dream jobs that they want are journalist, teacher, austronaut and many youths want to work with computers and media. The mayority want to move from Örnsköldsvik after school. The main reason to that may be be that it ´s hard to complete futuher studies in Örnsköldsvik. Almost everyone believes that it would be good with work-experience mixed with therory.
Almost everyone has many friends and that's good. Most youths think that it's hard to match and meet the money. And the top two priorities are pleasure and clothes. The income that everyone has is study suport from the Goverment and some youths` get money from working. Almost no-one believes that he/she can influence the choice of schoolbooks and food in school. In Örnsköldsvik does also the youths believe that there is not enough places for youths to meet at. Eventhough there is some problems for youths here in Örnsköldsvik we belive tath Örnsköldvik is a good place for youths.
