MAIL - ART

The students - class B3 - with our teacher of Italian have been taking part in an amusing and creative activity of international correspondance and exchanges of mail-art. Our task was to loosen our imagination, using papers, colours and glue and it was possible to know new friends. It's great to start new friendship and it doesn't need too much to do it. To tell the truth our interest was risen also thank to the computer, we published a small book whose title is "The world inside us". The activity was a relaxing way and sometimes extremely amusing to detach from the school routine, helping us to know ourselves and the people around us in this huge, but in the same time, a small world through our correspondence. For many of us, this activity was a different way to use and improve our knowledge of English and other foreign languages writing to our American, Canadian and French friends. The names and addresses of all the people students and adults, who want to take part in this project are kept in a file which is widening more and more.

There are two different ways to get in touch, the exchange of letters in Italian or one of the foreign language, exchange of art works (poetries, sketchies, pictures) of mail art that is more creative or it's possible to combine the two ways. The correspondence arrived at school from all over the world, can be read by everyone and it is kept in our library. During the school year there are some exhibitions called "Board of Creative Communications" where all students and parents can read this international correspondance. In conclusion the project has the aim to help students with the new media, through them, it's possible to tight international friendships. This new approach allows in the same time to loosen the irrational part of us and to communicate our feelings, moreover it is a natural and direct way to learn foreign languages. Whoever wants to take part in this project can write to our address to Mail Art - B3 GEO - "MOSE' BIANCHI".
