JUVENTUS

1897 - 1997

A century for the football

Friday 1 November 1897, a group of 15 students at Liceo classico "Massimo d'Azeglio", a high grammar school in Turin, decided to collect money to create a football team.
Juventus was founded, led by Enrico and Eugenio Canfari, the later was the first president who died fighting against Austrians on the Isonzo river in 1915.
A century has been passing, the football team has won 23 badges, 2 Champion Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups and many other rewards ; for all that we have to remember yesterday and nowdays' greatest champions : Altafini, Platini, Baggio, Vialli, Del Piero, the coachers who led the white-black football team to the top of the world cup : Zoff, Trapattoni, Lippi, and with them all the manager team who has always done their best to satisfy the very demanding fans.

Alessandro Del Piero          The "winning mind", a joined group inside and outside the football fields have been the promoters of these successes in the last years.
For the century of the "Lady" (one of Juventus' nicknames) have been organized a lot of parties and exhibitions on the annales of the noblest Italian team.
We need to remember that in Juventus' history there was also a terrible fact in 1995 at Heysel stadium in Bruxelles, Liverpool's fans attached Juventus's ones against a balcony, the wall of the balcony fell down and 30 Italian fans died :the first tragic Champion Cup.
The negative results were very few: they need 10 years to win the last Badge (1986/1996) and in 1989 Juventus didn't succeed in gaining Uefa Cup.

The desire of each fan is to be able to see it again for other 100 years with the same winning enthusiasm, but above all once again on the top of the world.
